These boots were made for walking… November 04th 2016

I love long boots and almost as soon as the first signs of Autumn approach, I am always the first person in the office to start wearing boots. Hardly have I put away my summer sandals, than out come all my gorgeous long warm, comfortable boots.

French Sole have created some amazing boots over the years and I am lucky enough to own at least twenty pairs - ranging from short ankle length to soft and supple over the boots with a hidden wedge heel. Currently my favourite boots are the style Pandora "over the knee" which Pippa Middleton wears in dark navy nubuck.

We are always asked for boots that fit comfortably over wider calves and I know what a problem many women have trying to find the perfect fit and we have designed our boots this season with exactly that in mind.  We have designed some wonderful boots with hidden elastic backs and sides together with a stunning range of Alpine inspired boots taken straight from the slopes and brought into our stores.

Now that French Sole in Vancouver is doing so well, we are also inspired by the colder climates there to design and manufacture even more boots with warmth and durabilty as important as style and comfort and have used strong and durable welted soles and heels for complete protection against rain and snow.

We are all loving our famous French Sole "Charlotte" boots which have featured everywhere once again this autumn and hark back to the Beatles and the "sixties" and the boots that I used to have made for me as a teenager at Annello and Davide.

For me, the most exciting boots this season are the Boxing Boots designed by my wonderful friend Barbara Hulanicki, the founder of the iconic London store BIBA. Supersoft with moulded rubber soles and a centre flexible zip - the true fashion classics are perfect for wearing with skirts or trousers. Supple, flexible and flattering  - our order books are almost full.

So, to quote Nancy Sinatra - "These Boots were made for Walking - so that's just what we'll do!"
